Training & technical assistance is available for Project ACT grantees, funded grantees from the Alaska Division of Alcoholism & Drug Abuse, and other organizations who are interested in implementing prevention programs in their communities. Akeela's Prevention, Education and Training Department offers the prevention community individualized community-based training & technical assistance in a variety of areas:

    Akeela, Inc. supports Alaska prevention programs in designing and implementing prevention services that address reducing assessed risk factors and increase protective factors. Akeela also assists in strengthening existing prevention services to enhance collaboration efforts, developing management plans with realistic milestones, utilizing theory-based prevention strategies, and creating adequate evaluation plans to measure prevention outcomes. Akeela's goal is to work with communities to enhance prevention practices in Alaska and to build local capacity.
